Send SMS to Globalstar phone using Telnet and HTTP.
Although we have an email interface available for sending SMS messages to our modems, we recommend that integrators use the following (HTTP-based) procedure for delivery of SMS messages. Many integrators use the HTTP method as their primary method of communication because it eliminates all the potential problems of email clients and SMTP servers. The telnet interface allows you up to 35 characters, with no additional characters being added by the email conversion engine. It is up to you to decide whether to use the HTTP method as your primary or backup SMS communication method.
